Meta AI glasses
Terms of Use
Effective October 22, 2026
In short
- These terms add to our general Terms of Use when you use Fair Price with Meta AI glasses.
- Start a check by pressing the capture button twice, by saying “Hey Meta, start Fair Price”, or in the app. The glasses take a photo, and the answer is spoken to you, or shown in the lens on Meta Ray-Ban Display.
- Stay safe: don't use Fair Price on your glasses while driving or cycling, and keep aware of your surroundings.
- Respect the people around you and local laws on photography. Never cover or tamper with the glasses' capture light.
- Answers are AI estimates, not guarantees.
- Meta's own terms apply to your glasses and the Meta AI app. Fair Price isn't made, sponsored or endorsed by Meta.
1. These terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Maciej Bajko (“Fair Price”, “we”, “us”), an independent developer based in the United Arab Emirates, about using Fair Price with Meta AI glasses. They add to our general Terms of Use, which also apply; if the two differ on something about the glasses, these terms prevail. Our Privacy Policy for Meta AI glasses explains what Fair Price receives from your glasses and what it does with it.
2. What you need
- Meta AI glasses that work with apps through Meta's Wearables Device Access Toolkit, such as Ray-Ban Meta, Oakley Meta or Meta Ray-Ban Display, paired with the Meta AI app on your iPhone.
- A version of Fair Price for iPhone that supports Meta AI glasses.
- Fair Price connected to your glasses in the Meta AI app, with permission to use the glasses' camera.
3. How it works
You start a check by pressing the glasses' capture button twice (where available), by saying “Hey Meta, start Fair Price”, or with the check button in the app. The glasses take one photo, Fair Price estimates the price, and the answer is spoken through the glasses' speakers. On Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses it can also be shown in the lens (where available). While the Scan screen is open with Glasses chosen as the camera, the app can show a live preview from the glasses so you can aim. Each check works like a check with your phone's camera and uses a check from your daily allowance or your Pro plan.
4. Using your glasses safely
- Don't use Fair Price on your glasses while driving, cycling, riding a scooter or motorbike, operating machinery, or crossing a street. Stop somewhere safe first.
- Stay aware of your surroundings, especially in crowded markets and traffic. Don't let a spoken answer or the lens display distract you when you need your full attention.
- Keep the volume at a level where you can still hear what's around you.
- On Meta Ray-Ban Display, content in the lens can cover part of your view. Close it when you're moving.
- Follow Meta's safety and health information for your glasses.
5. Respecting others and the law
- Only take photos where it's allowed, and follow local laws on photography and recording. Where the law requires it, get people's consent before photographing them.
- Aim at the item, not at people. If a seller or anyone else objects, stop.
- Follow the rules of the places you visit: museums, temples, shops and markets often don't allow photos.
- Never use the glasses' camera in private or sensitive places such as bathrooms, changing rooms, or medical facilities.
- Never cover, block, disable or otherwise tamper with the glasses' capture light, and don't use Fair Price to photograph people without their knowledge.
- Don't use Fair Price to identify, follow, profile or monitor people. Fair Price doesn't recognize faces, and you may not try to make it.
6. Answers through your glasses
Spoken answers and the lens show a short summary; the full answer is in the app. Like every answer in Fair Price, they're AI estimates, not guarantees, and not financial advice: the item can be misidentified or the price wrong. Section 4 of our general Terms of Use applies.
7. Meta's services
- Your glasses, the Meta AI app, “Hey Meta” voice commands and Meta's Wearables Device Access Toolkit are provided by Meta under Meta's own terms and privacy policy, which apply to your use of them.
- Fair Price is an independent app. It isn't made, sponsored or endorsed by Meta, and Meta isn't responsible for it.
- What Fair Price can do with your glasses depends on what Meta makes available. Meta may change or withdraw features, and some may not work on every model or in every country.
- For problems with the glasses themselves or the Meta AI app, contact Meta's support. For problems with Fair Price, contact us.
8. Features in testing
Some glasses features, such as the capture button, full-resolution photos and the lens display, rely on parts of Meta's toolkit that Meta offers only for testing. They're available only in versions of Fair Price that include them, may not always work, and may change or be removed.
9. Changes and ending
We may change or stop the glasses features, for example when Meta changes its toolkit. You can disconnect Fair Price from your glasses at any time in the Meta AI app; Meta explains how in How to disconnect apps from AI glasses. Disconnecting doesn't cancel a Fair Price Pro subscription; manage that in your App Store subscriptions.
10. Our responsibility
Sections 13 and 14 of our general Terms of Use apply. As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for the glasses, the Meta AI app or other Meta services, or for harm caused by using the glasses in breach of section 4 or 5. Nothing here limits your statutory rights as a consumer or liability that can't be limited by law.
11. Law, disputes and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of the United Arab Emirates have jurisdiction. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, including in the European Union and the United Kingdom, and you can bring a claim in the courts there. We may update these terms; we'll update this page and the date above, and tell you in the app about significant changes. Questions or complaints: support@bettelf.com.
